What is plague

Officially confirmed
  • It is caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis.
  • Incubation period of 1 to 7 days.
  • The bubonic form is the most common.
  • The pneumonic form is the most virulent and spreads through the respiratory route.
  • Common antibiotics cure it if given early.
